TERMS AND CONDITIONS – REPAIR SERVICES

Magista Studio – Phone & Laptop Repair Specialist

1. Service Acceptance

  • The customer agrees to allow Magista Studio to repair their device upon handing it over at our premises or via pick-up/delivery service.

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the device model, symptoms, and any previous repairs or issues.

2. Diagnosis & Inspection Fee

  • A diagnosis fee will be charged if the customer decides not to proceed with the repair after inspection.

  • The diagnosis fee will be communicated upfront and must be settled before the device is returned.

3. Warranty

  • Warranty applies to the specific part replaced, depending on the type of repair:

    • Screen replacement: 3 – 6 months

    • Battery replacement: 1 – 3 months

    • Board/microsoldering repair: 1 month (case-by-case basis)

  • Warranty is void if:

    • The device is physically damaged after repair (drops, cracks, water ingress)

    • The device is opened or tampered with by third parties after being repaired by us

    • A new issue occurs unrelated to the original repair

    • (See Point 11) Devices with no power, no display, or water damage are only eligible for limited warranty, depending on repair scope.

4. Data & Privacy

  • Magista Studio is not responsible for any data loss. Customers are advised to back up their data before handing in their device.

  • We respect customer privacy and will not access personal data unless necessary for diagnosis or with customer consent.

5. Unsuccessful Repairs

  • If the repair attempt is unsuccessful, the customer will be informed, and no charges will apply for unreplaced parts.

  • However, labor or diagnosis fees still apply.

6. Uncollected Devices

  • Devices not collected within 60 days after being notified as ready will be considered abandoned. Magista Studio reserves the right to dispose of or store the device without further notice.

7. Parts Type – Original / OEM / Compatible

  • Customers may choose between Original, OEM, or Compatible parts depending on availability and price.

  • Warranty coverage varies according to the type of part selected.

8. Repair Turnaround Time

  • Repair timeframes depend on the nature of the issue and parts availability.

  • Estimated completion time will be provided upon acceptance, but may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

9. Payment & Deposits

  • Certain repairs may require an upfront deposit before the repair process begins.

  • Full payment is required upon collection of the repaired device.

10. Pre-existing or Additional Damage

  • Magista Studio is not liable for pre-existing damage or additional hidden issues, especially in devices with:

    • Water damage

    • Motherboard failure

    • Previous tampering or third-party repair attempts

11. No Power / No Display / Water-Damaged Devices

  • Devices received in any of the following conditions:

    • No power

    • No display

    • Water damage

  • Are classified as critical repairs.

  • Limited warranty applies, as the status of internal components (battery, cameras, sensors, Wi-Fi, touchscreen, etc.) cannot be fully tested upfront.

  • Any additional faults appearing after the initial repair are considered a known risk and are not covered under warranty, except for the specific part replaced.
